Job summary

HTC Global Services, Inc. seeks a Product Engineer – Electrical & Electronic Systems in Cleveland, OH.

The role focuses on improving product quality, resolving wiring issues, supporting warranty investigations, and leading root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams across manufacturing locations. You will drive containment and corrective actions, present findings in quality reviews, and collaborate on new model launches and system implementations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Development, Quality Engineering, Program Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering in automotive.
  • Experience with electrical wiring systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first line of support for vehicle quality issues related to electrical wiring and electronic systems.
  • Provide on-site engineering support for warranty concerns, FTT performance, ergonomics, quality campaigns, and product audits.
  • Support warranty claim analysis and daily issue triage using internal quality systems.
  • Analyze warranty data, production metrics, and related information to identify emerging quality issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop and implement ICA and PCA.
  • Prepare and present structured problem-solving documentation (8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone).
  • Present technical findings and project updates during quality review meetings.
  • Lead variability reduction activities for electrical subsystems.
  • Perform complex vehicle diagnostics and resolve electrical issues in production or final inspection.
  • Support assigned product launches with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Manage engineering concerns and support design changes and production implementation.
  • Communicate project status with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate across multiple locations to resolve common quality issues.
  • Lead plant trials for quality improvements, cost reduction, and supplier enhancements.
  • Support design standardization and best-practice implementation across programs.
  • Participate in pre-build activities and support new model launches.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer to support electrical and electronic systems within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving product quality, resolving electrical wiring issues, supporting warranty investigations, leading root cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first line of support for vehicle quality issues related to electrical wiring and electronic systems.
  • Provide on-site engineering support for warranty concerns, first-time-through (FTT) performance, ergonomics, quality campaigns, and product audits.
  • Support warranty claim analysis and daily issue triage using internal quality systems.
  • Analyze warranty data, production metrics, and related information to identify emerging quality issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop and implement interim containment actions (ICA) and permanent corrective actions (PCA).
  • Prepare and present structured problem-solving documentation using methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Present technical findings and project updates during quality review meetings.
  • Lead variability reduction activities for assigned electrical subsystems.
  • Perform complex vehicle diagnostics and resolve electrical issues identified during production or final inspection.
  • Support assigned product launches while coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Manage engineering concerns and support design changes and production implementation activities.
  • Communicate project status and daily activities effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple manufacturing locations to identify and resolve common quality issues.
  • Lead plant trials supporting quality improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and supplier-related enhancements.
  • Support design standardization and best practice implementation across multiple programs.
  • Participate in pre-build activities and support new model launches and system implementations.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Development, Quality Engineering, Program Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering within a fast-paced automotive environment.
  • Experience with electrical wiring systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with circuit design.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
