Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Switzerland AG is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and optimize rubber, plastic and metal components for internal and external manufacturing resources. The role involves creating manufacturing drawings, performing FEA to validate concepts, and ensuring products meet application and cost targets.

This position requires a BS degree (BSMET/BSME preferred), strong communication skills in English, and willingness to travel internationally and within the continental

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Strong oral and written communication in English.
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects and multi-task.

Responsibilities

Prepare and support component designs for internal and external manufacturing resources.
Create detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances; validate design concepts with FEA.
Ensure product functionality and manufacturability within cost constraints.
Collaborate with sales engineers, account managers, and suppliers for tooling, materials and manufacturing sources.
Identify training opportunities and support quality system accreditation.
Travel periodically, up to 10 days internationally and 20 days domestically per year.
