Job summary

Cadence seeks a Principal Product Engineer to act as the main technical liaison with top-tier customers, guiding silicon bring-up and product integration. You will coordinate with internal design, validation, and applications teams as well as the customer program manager to ensure on-time delivery.

You will drive technical reviews, manage cases, and leverage AI tools to enhance decision making and deliverables. Travel to customer sites is expected (~10%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a related master's degree.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Physical and Protocol Layer validation for high-speed SERDES tech.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and protocol instruments.
• Experience in case management tools such as SFDC and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for customer engineering teams and lead weekly calls.
• Coordinate program integration, reviews, and bring-up plans with cross-functional teams.
• Validate Physical and Protocol layers for high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, USB, etc.).
• Use lab equipment to diagnose silicon-related issues and interpret results.
• Manage and escalate technical cases across SFDC, Sherlock, and Jira.
• Prepare status dashboards, kickoff materials, and silicon reports.
