Job summary

Cadence Design Systems seeks a Product Engineer to drive backend design flows in Virtuoso and to foster customer adoption across leading-edge process nodes. This customer-facing role blends physical design methods, design automation, and direct customer engagement.

You will work with customers to understand challenges, troubleshoot issues, and partner with R&D to shape future capabilities, while delivering clear documentation and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in custom IC backend design, layout, and signoff flows.
• Deep familiarity with Virtuoso layout environments for advanced-node tech.
• Experience scripting with Python, Perl or UNIX Shell.
• Customer-facing role with ability to translate challenges into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and customer adoption of backend design flows in Cadence Virtuoso.
• Work directly with customers to understand challenges and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to troubleshoot and enhance product capabilities.
