Job summary

Webb Wheel Products, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to provide engineering design support, manufacturing and Lean support, and technical help for internal teams and customers.

You will design and draft components like calipers and rotors, manage ECOs, and work with manufacturing and quality to test and improve products. The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering, 1–5 years of automotive or manufacturing engineering experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Solid-modeling and drafting experience required (SolidWorks preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong typing/computer skills including MS Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Sound problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
• Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, solid modeling, drafting, and support of new concepts and products (Air Disc Brake Calipers, Rotors, Hubs, Drums).
• Engineering Change Order creation and approval.
• Lead Lean, safety, quality, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives related to design and function.
• Test and evaluate products with Manufacturing and Quality to support delivery and customer service.
• Provide technical support to customers and fleets; travel <20% for training.
