Job description

Responsible for the completion engineering projects. Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. A wheel & brake factory wide process improvement effort has identified several hundred process issues which have been documented. The primary task of this position is to write engineering changes to the process documentation to correct the problems. This will include some fact finding to understand the issue and then use of the companiesEC system to process the changes. An additional task is to execute a DOE (Design of Experiments) for a brake problem to identify the source of a production problem. The DOE has already been setup so the experiment has already scoped, it just needs to be executed. Detailed Wheel and Brake mechanical engineering skills are less important than good engineering judgement and background with mechanical components.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
