Job summary

Nuro is developing a universal autonomy platform with Level 4 autonomous driving for a wide range of vehicles and use cases. Product Engineers join On-Road Experience or Routing teams to design, build, and ship systems that power our autonomous vehicle fleet on public roads.

You will work across the stack, collaborating with product, UX, and operations to define requirements and deliver impactful features that improve routing, ETA accuracy, and fleet reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required or in progress.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and web/server fundamentals.
• Experience building applications with React and TypeScript, or real-time, server-side systems.
• Experience with RESTful or gRPC APIs and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS) and willingness to work across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web practices.
• Develop backend services and APIs interfacing with onboard vehicle systems, cloud infra, and partners.
• Build tools for fleet monitoring, vehicle health, maintenance workflows, and operational decision-making.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, libraries, and shared platform patterns.
• Build backend systems for Routing, including microservices and routing algorithms.
• Create onboard C++ modules to generate routes and receive live map updates.
