Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Product Engineer to support new product introductions, continuous improvement, and manufacturing.

You will develop processes, control plans, and drive scrap elimination to lower costs while maintaining quality. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with experience in manufacturing settings and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or related engineering.
• Hands-on experience in investment casting or aerospace manufacturing a plus.
• Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops processes, defines controls, and implements scrap elimination on assigned parts.
• Maintains a high level of quality for product design.
• Writes, issues, and continually updates Engineering instructions.
• Manages activities to stay on schedule for product release, while maintaining budgeted development and part costs.
• Identifies and implements cost reduction opportunities.
• Continuously evaluates/improves processes to maintain or improve yields.
• Conducts dimensional probability studies.
• Initiates, completes, and submits product qualifications.
• Develops and implements part-specific procedures.
• Uses statistical and graphical analysis techniques to disposition yield and dimensional elements of the casting process.
• Conceptual design of required tooling and coordination of detailed design and build with in house and outside tool rooms.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Product Engineer position is responsible for Product Engineering activities to support new product introduction, continuous improvement and manufacturing.

Essential Functions:

• Develops processes, defines controls, and institutes effective scrap elimination efforts on assigned parts.
• Maintain a high level of quality for product design.
• Write, issue, and continually update Engineering instructions

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or other related Engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience in the airfoils investment casting industry a plus
