What we're looking for
We're seeking a product-minded Full Stack Engineer who can rapidly build and ship high-quality features with minimal oversight. You'll be solving complex technical challenges while maintaining excellent user experiences, helping us create the first true "AI Chief of Staff" to augment human intelligence.
What you'll do
Build real-time collaborative interfaces where Mem's AI can actively co-edit notes alongside users
Design and implement offline-first experiences that sync seamlessly across devices
Create asynchronous workflows that enable AI to work on your behalf even when you're offline
Develop and integrate data ingestion pipelines from various sources (calendar, email, etc.)
Craft intuitive UI components that make complex AI capabilities accessible and delightful
Rapidly prototype and iterate on new features based on user feedback
Collaborate with the team to define our product roadmap and technical architecture
Example Challenge: Building AI Co-Editing
Imagine building a feature where users can see Mem's AI as a literal cursor in their document, actively helping them draft content in real-time. You'll need to:
Design a real-time collaboration system using WebSockets that shows the AI's cursor position and typing
Create a smooth, natural-feeling interface where AI contributions appear fluidly, not jarringly
Implement a system that allows the AI to access relevant context from the user's knowledge base
Ensure the experience works across devices and handles offline scenarios gracefully
Build intelligent conflict resolution when both the user and AI are editing simultaneously
This requires deep frontend expertise, real-time systems knowledge, and product intuition to create an experience that feels like true collaboration rather than just automated suggestions.
