Compensation:

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $78,200 to $130,400.

Position Details:

You will provide engineering expertise in product evaluations and testing to ensure compliance with quality, performance, safety, and reliability standards. You will also support internal business partners in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Manager, Category Engineering, this is a hybrid position based in Lake Forest, working 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate electro-mechanical industrial products for compliance and approve samples.
2. Develop and submit engineering plans, reports, and specifications.
3. Implement strategies to meet project requirements and deadlines.
4. Support supplier management and merchandising with technical product understanding.
5. Develop testing methods and create reports for product improvements.
6. Support value engineering efforts.
7. Deliver presentations on product work and training.
8. Analyze warranty returns and produce monthly reports.
9. Review technical documents for content and safety.
10. Prepare samples and sales materials for product reviews.
11. Recommend testing equipment and lab sources.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical discipline, preferred in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
2. Experience with electromechanical products such as motors, pumps, HVAC.
3. 5-8 years relevant experience.
4. Hands-on troubleshooting and product analysis skills.
5. Proficiency in MS Office; Power BI and Think Cell are a plus.
6. Ability to interpret technical reports and specifications.
7. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
8. Ability to travel 5-10%, including international travel.
9. Knowledge of compliance standards like UL, ETL, DOE, CSA.
