Lilly is at a pivotal point as we expand our product pipeline. We are developing new processing capabilities globally, focusing on emerging technologies like continuous processing and advanced biotech platforms.

Role Overview:

The Corporate Automation Drug Product Engineer is a senior role leading the design and delivery of major capital projects within Lilly's manufacturing expansion. This position involves leading or supporting project workstreams focused on automation platforms for key parenteral systems, including aseptic filling, formulation, and associated IT integration, primarily using Rockwell Automation solutions.

Team and Responsibilities:
  • Part of Lilly's Global Process Automation & Control Engineering (GPACE) team, providing automation, measurement, and process control solutions.
  • Support training, standards, project delivery, and automation platform development for global manufacturing and development sites.
  • Flexibility on location with travel required within the US and internationally.
Key Objectives:
  • Champion health & safety, diversity & inclusion, ethics, and compliance.
  • Collaborate on design, installation, and qualification of automation systems for aseptic filling and formulation facilities.
  • Lead development of statements of work, supplier selection, and delivery strategies.
  • Support site hiring, capability building, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Mentor team members and influence project outcomes.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Chemical) or related field.
  • At least 3 years of process automation/control experience in manufacturing, preferably pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation platforms, including FT View and ControlLogix.
  • Experience in commissioning and qualification processes.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with aseptic filling and formulation processes.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of OT and IT platform integration.
  • Ability to influence and simplify complex issues.
Additional Information:
