Job summary

Myticas Consulting in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Mechanical Engineer to collaborate across engineering, design, manufacturing, suppliers and marketing to create, develop, and improve complex product designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Creo proficiency, and experience with PPAPs, DFMEA/PFMEA, and plastic injection molding. You will lead design releases and ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience with engineering approval of parts for production (ISIR-PPAPs).
• Experience performing DFMEA and PFMEA analyses.
• Track record of successful product launches into production.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to engineer and refine product designs.
• Lead development tasks from concept through production release.
• Prepare and validate engineering documentation for production readiness.

Job description

Works cross-functionally with engineers, mechanical designers, manufacturing, suppliers, industrial design, and marketing by performing large, complex engineering assignments related to the creation, development, and-or improvement of product designs.

Skills and Abilities:

• Technology-Engineering Analysis & Methodology: Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles, material science, manufacturing processes and tooling as they relate to the engineering of a product.
• Experience in the engineering approval of parts for production (ISIR-PPAPs)
• Experience performing and understanding DFMEA-PFMEAs.
• A proven history of successful product launches into production.
• Computer Skills: Creo experience is required, Windchill experience is nice to have.

Education:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required.
