MyFitnessPal, Inc. is seeking a Sr. BI Engineer to drive KPI reporting and enable self-service analytics via Tableau.

You will own data pipelines, build dashboards, and partner with Data Engineering to unlock data for the BI team. This role emphasizes data democratization, scalable BI infrastructure, and actionable insights for marketing and product teams. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in BI/Analytics engineering, expert SQL, and experience with Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery, Tableau/Looker.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in a BI Engineering or Analytics Engineering role.
• Advanced to Expert SQL.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools Tableau/Power BI/Looker.
• Python or R for analytics.
• Experience building data warehouses and ETL pipelines (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Experience with cross-functional stakeholder management (Product, Data Engineering).
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data quality and own the reporting data pipeline and business logic.
• Manage data source complexity and reconcile disparate stories.
• Diagnose KPI changes and identify drivers.
• Create clear analyses and actionable recommendations.
• Ensure BI infrastructure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Perform deep-dive analyses for ad-hoc stakeholder requests.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for insights.
• Architect data models to enable data democratization.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to unlock data for BI.
• Partner with marketing and product teams to support core business functions.
