Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc seeks a Product Development Technician for our Brea, CA facility. The role contributes to routine technical tasks and develops solutions under supervision, interacting with the supervisor, project leaders, and engineers.

This 12-month contract on W2 requires working on-site in Brea with a 2nd shift (1:30-10:00 PM) and 40 hours/week. Pay range is $27-$35/hr; interviews are in-person.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma; experience in a lab or regulated environment (4–6 years).
• Preferred: BS in a technical area with 1–2 years in Lab/R&D and teamwork.
• Ability to follow procedures and document results.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, maintains, formats, and manipulates technical data and generates engineering documents.
• Prepares reports and summaries including quantitative analyses.
• Provides technical support to engineers and helps scope equipment for use.
• Develops prototype processes and test setups and executes tests.

Job Description Summary

• We are seeking a Product Development Tech for our Brea, CA facility.
• This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope.
• Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
• Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
• Provides completion of technical tasks.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
• Works with team to on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
• Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project
• Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups
• Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing
• Effectively documents and communicates test results
• Handles test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing

Requirements

Minimum Requirement

• Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 4-6 years, experience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team
• Preferred requirement: Bachelor of Science in a technical area and at least 1-2 year of experience in a laboratory/R&D setting following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

• Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
• The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members
• Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
• Proficiency in personal computers
• Ability to train lower-level technicians
