Job Summary:

Belden's Product Development Technician assists Development Engineers in the administration, maintenance, design, and testing of new products and related intellectual property. This role provides technical assistance to other departments as needed. You will be responsible for approximately $40 million of products manufactured across all Belden Americas plants, gaining exposure to application and technical issues impacting product design. Under supervision, you may also participate in designing products.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer Lean Daily Management (LDM) activities including quotes, orders, technical data, drawings, document revisions, plant transfer, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Meet customer specifications by understanding basic design issues and providing technical data sheets, drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Participate in the control and maintenance of Belden products by establishing and protecting intellectual property, and preserving product design rules, procedures, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with engineers and lab technicians to evaluate product performance, ensure compliance, and identify manufacturing capabilities and technologies.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Technical Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of BPCS, BI, AutoCAD, and/or SolidWorks is desirable.
  • Team-oriented with a quick learning ability and eagerness to grow.
