Job summary

IDEXX is seeking four Product Development Scientists to join the Assay Dx R&D non-infectious Product Development team at our Westbrook, ME headquarters. These full-time, on-site roles blend bench science with systems thinking to design, develop, and characterize assays from concept to launch.

You will design studies, apply statistical analysis, and create clear data visualizations while collaborating with scientists and engineers to deliver robust, data-driven products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years experience or equivalent in bioengineering or related field.
• Hands-on bench skills and safe lab practices.
• Experience with statistical software such as JMP.
• Experience with ELISA and other immunoassay techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and execution of laboratory studies to characterize assay performance.
• Apply statistical techniques to analyze experimental data.
• Create clear data visualizations and summaries for diverse audiences.
• Break complex systems into subsystems with well-defined interfaces and verify integration.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to guide decisions.
