Job summary

Ultralife Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and launch of lithium-ion batteries, chargers, and accessories. You will oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing transition, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality solutions.

The role requires coordinating engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, managing design reviews and risk assessments, and communicating with customers to meet expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting aggressive schedule, technical, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of new product development projects from concept through production launch.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, quality plans, and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Test Engineering.
• Manage design reviews, risk assessments, validation plans, DFMEA/PFMEA activities.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Work closely with customers throughout the product development process to ensure expectations are met.
• Support prototype builds, product testing, supplier development, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Drive the successful transition of new products into full-scale manufacturing.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
