Job summary

MIRATECH in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate and manage product development projects across engineering, production, and sales.

You will attend checkpoints, lead meetings, track budgets and scope, ensure plans align with the lifecycle strategy, and communicate status clearly; travel up to 20% may be required and a BS in engineering with 3–10 years PM experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or a relevant major from an accredited college/university.
• 3–10 years of project management experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Project).

Responsibilities

• Attend checkpoints, gates, and weekly meetings for product development projects.
• Schedule and lead project meetings, producing minutes and action items.
• Ensure alignment of project plans with product lifecycle strategy.
• Proactively communicate scope, schedule, commercial and technical details.
• Familiarize with MIRATECH product line and processes.
• Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Manage scope changes affecting schedule, cost, revenue.
• Collaborate on budgeting with cross-functional teams through the lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve issues early with Engineering, Production, or Sales teams.
• Review technical deliverables before release.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors as needed.

Job description

Reports to: Manager, Product Management

Cooperates with: Product Development, Engineering, Accounting, Production, Sales

Primary Responsibility: Responsible for coordinating and managing MIRATECH product development projects.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend checkpoints, gates, and all relevant weekly meetings for product development projects.

• Schedule and lead product development project meetings as needed and produce meeting minutes/action items as appropriate.

• Ensure the alignment of project plans with overarching product lifecycle strategy.

• Proactively communicate regarding all aspects of project, including scope, schedule, commercial, and technical details.

• Become familiar/conversant with the entire MIRATECH product line and processes.

• Provide regular reports on project status to the appropriate parties.

• Manage scope changes which affect schedule, cost, revenue, etc.

• Work with Product Development, Sales, Engineering, and Production on preparation of project budget and track actual vs. budget costs (with assistance from accounting) through the project lifecycle.

• Identify potential issues at the beginning and throughout of the project lifecycle and work with the appropriate parties (Engineering, Production, Sales, etc.) to resolve before escalations.

• Review technical deliverables from product development projects before release.

• Manage the flow of documents to ensure consistency and timeliness.

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors as needed with MIRATECH production team.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Project).

• Proficient at creating/maintaining Gantt Chart-style project schedules.

• Detail oriented while able to look at the “big picture” of a project and Customer relationship.

• Customer focused.

• Proven ability to manage multiple large to complex projects at a time.

• BS in engineering or a relevant major from an accredited college/university.

• 3-10 years prior project management experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Able to travel up to 20%.

• Positive attitude with a good sense of humor.
