The Product Development Manager leads the product development and product management process for health plans and related service offerings. The incumbent defines product opportunities within commercial and retail markets, documents requirements, secures approvals, and leads development activities from initial concept through commercialization. The manager drives enhancements, packaging, promotion, and optimization of product performance across all channels. They are accountable for strategies that support and promote profitable market share throughout the product lifecycle. The role involves creating comprehensive product strategies, including pricing, promotion, and distribution for all segments and regions.
Level I requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, statistics, or similar, with at least one year of experience or six years of related experience without a degree. Preferred experience in healthcare industry, strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Level II requires at least four years of experience in marketing, product, or program development, with an MBA preferred, and experience managing teams and projects.
