Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking motivated, innovative students for our 2027 Summer Internship Program in Danboro, PA. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.

Join us as we build the future in engineering. During the 10–12 week internship, you’ll work with a mentor, explore our manufacturing and research facilities, and contribute to real projects guided by engineers and leaders.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with solid modeling, drafting, FEA software, and MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience delivering presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Modeling, drafting, and drawing of fasteners, fixtures, installation or testing equipment.
  • Perform teardowns of target application and/or competitive product; document findings.
  • Perform destructive/non-destructive testing, installation, and measurements.
  • Collaborate with sales/marketing to evaluate concepts for market acceptance.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to facilitate samples and production.
  • Purchase and assemble test fixtures and assemblies.
  • Participate in brainstorming and problem solving.
  • Undertake research to learn new processes, products, and technologies; share with global team.
