Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking motivated, excited, and innovative students for our 2027 intern program in Danboro, PA. The 10-12-week summer internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to manufacturing and research facilities.

You'll gain skills in Lean manufacturing, CAD design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while building a professional network and preparing for a future in engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Current student working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD or Creo) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn Lean manufacturing fundamentals.
• Apply CAD skills to design fixtures and tooling concepts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
