Job summary

Qnity seeks a Product Development Engineering Manager based in Newark, DE to lead development teams in Newark and Hayward, drive new product scale-up, and advance PCN initiatives with MT, IO, Quality, and R&D. You will shape DE organization, improve processes, and align with customer needs and market trends for strategic growth.

Ideal candidates combine a strong chemistry/engineering background with leadership, project management, and a focus on safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of polymer/organic chemistry and chemical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of organic analytical techniques, including GC, LC, GPC, NMR, and IR, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Product Development Engineering teams in Newark and Hayward.
• Direct resources and processes for new product development, transitioning from lab scale to high-volume manufacturing.
• Plan and oversee laboratory investments to support troubleshooting and scale-up technologies.
• Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis, improvement planning, and implementation of effective solutions.
• Apply DOE and FMEA methodologies to drive innovation and process improvements.
• Collaborate with customers to understand market trends and prioritize product and quality initiatives.
• Champion EH&S programs to maintain high safety standards.
