The Product Development Engineering Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the engineering team responsible for the research, design, and development of pumpproducts and systems. This role oversees all phases of product development, ensures compliance with industry standards, and manages project portfolios to meet organizational and customer objectives. The Engineering Manager fosters a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and professional development, while promoting effective collaboration across teams. This position serves as the primary technical authority, representing the engineering function in executive meetings, customer engagements, and industry forums. Leads and manages the engineering team in the research, design, and development of products and systems. Provides strategic direction, oversees project execution, ensures adherence to standards, and fosters team growth to achieve organizational and customer goals.
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the engineering team, aligning project goals with organizational objectives and customer requirements.
Oversee the development of conceptual and detailed product specifications, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
Guide and review the evaluation and optimization of design factors such as function, materials, performance, cost, and efficiency across multiple projects.
Champion the application of advanced scientific analysis, modeling, and simulation techniques to drive innovation and improve product outcomes.
Ensure thorough validation of test results, robust failure analysis, and the implementation of effective qualification procedures for product reliability and safety.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
Manage project portfolios, including resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and with cross‑functional stakeholders, including manufacturing, quality, and customers.
Develop, implement, and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and documentation processes.
Mentor and develop engineering staff, promoting professional growth, knowledge sharing, and high‑performance teamwork.
