MooreCo Inc. is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Temple, TX to lead design and prototyping efforts for new furniture products. You will use SolidWorks to create prototypes, assemble them for testing, and iterate designs toward production readiness.

Key duties include market research, BOM creation, cost analysis, and collaboration with customer service and sales on specifications. A degree in engineering and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in furniture industry would be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent math, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform market research to understand market requirements for new product development.
• Conceptualize new product ideas using SolidWorks to design prototypes.
• Assemble prototypes for testing and refine designs for production.
• Test products throughout the design process to troubleshoot issues.
• Create bills of materials and capture unit costs; analyze product sustainability.
• Analyze existing products to create assembly instructions and technical specifications.
