Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Product Development Engineer to turn concepts into working products. You will build prototypes, integrate technologies, and drive projects from concept to commercial reality.

You will coordinate across electrical, mechanical, and software domains, manage external partners, and help build a lean internal prototype capability to accelerate development and testing. This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in product development, electrical engineering, controls, automation, mechatronics or systems integration.
• Experience with sensors, controls, automation, connected devices, low‑voltage electronics, wireless tech or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into working products through prototyping and testing.
• Own technical integration across electrical, controls, sensing, connectivity, and mechanical domains.
• Identify external partners and manage interfaces with suppliers, contract manufacturers and IT.
• Design for manufacturing considerations and support pilot builds, production troubleshooting and launch readiness.
