An established industry player is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join their innovative Cable Backplane Business Unit. Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters is located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking Product Development Engineers to join our Cable Backplane Business Unit in Valley Green, Pennsylvania and in Nantong, China.
High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world's IT and datacom; including leading the way for the AI/ML revolution; and require some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision, in the engineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technical minds, and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an engineer.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Development Engineerrole will focus on Precision Engineering and serve a pivotal role on the Amphenol CS's Cable Backplane Product Developmentteam. The ideal candidatewill blendexpert knowledge from electrical and mechanical engineering to develop, design, and maintain the mechanisms on our next generation of high speed cabled backplanes. The Product Development Engineerwill design float mechanisms, cartridges, and similar mechanisms that enable our cabled backplanes to solve our customer's needs. This role also requires interaction with internal manufacturing sites, external vendors, and all of the other engineering disciplines within the organization.
A strong candidate should be motivated by technical challenges, know how to be a truly collaborative member of a team, and be willing to wear a number of hats throughout the many phases of a project.
