Job summary

Printpack’s Medical Division is seeking qualified candidates for Product Development Engineer I or II, reporting to the Product Development Manager. Positions can be located in Atlanta, GA, Marshall, NC, or Tijuana, Mexico.

The role requires coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to commercialize new blown film and converted products, designing specs, leading customer calls and trials, and driving process improvements with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in product development or flexible converting is preferred.
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing with a focus on process improvement and quality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and cross-functionally with sales, marketing, manufacturing and planning to commercialize new products.
• Design and validate specs to be fit-for-use and fit-for-make; gather data and analyze to succeed.
• Lead technical calls/visits and trials with customers and manufacturing to expedite commercialization.
• Serve as primary technical contact for assigned customers.
• Support manufacturing tech needs for existing specs and provide onsite trial support.
• Be a resource for material/process related root cause investigations.
• Lead divisional initiatives on new converting and raw material tech and identify growth opportunities.
• Demonstrate strong internal/external customer service and collaborative spirit.
