• 2 years of relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design components or systems and modify existing designs.
• Recommends improvements to quality of products or procedures.
• Determines budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
• Leads multifunctional new product project teams.
• Maintains design history file for assigned projects.
• Provides Regulatory department technical support.
• Supports Marketing and Product Management with technical information.
• Supports Manufacturing to provide processing improvements.
• Educates customers on technical aspects of products.
• Initiates testing of assigned products.
• Reports progress and status of assigned projects.
• May require travel to attend trade shows.

Skills

Knowledgeable of FDA and ISO guidelines for the development of medical devices

Manufacturing process knowledge

Project management and communication skills

Working knowledge of anatomy from an orthopedic standpoint

Education

Bachelors degree in Engineering
