Job summary

Ford Motor Company is hiring a Product Development Engineer-eDrive Unit Industrialization in Michigan. You will support planning, execution and industrialization of electrified propulsion systems, interfacing with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and suppliers to meet timing, cost and quality goals.

Successful candidates bring 5+ years in automotive eDrive or electrification, 1 year CAD experience, and strong leadership, collaboration and data-driven decision making to drive complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in automotive eDrive systems, powertrain or electrification.
• 1 year of CAD experience.
• Master’s degree is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and industrialization of electrified propulsion systems.
• Act as a key interface among engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and suppliers.
• Drive program execution, monitor milestones and resolve issues throughout development.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timing, cost, quality and deliverables.

In this position...

The Product Development Engineer-eDrive Unit Industrialization is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and industrialization of Ford's electrified propulsion systems. This role serves as a key interface between engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers, quality, and program management teams to ensure program timing, cost, quality, and technical deliverables are achieved.

The successful candidate will drive program execution activities, monitor key milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support issue resolution throughout the product development lifecycle.

You’ll have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive eDrive systems, powertrain or electrification.
• 1 year of CAD experience.

• Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
