Job summary

Minth North America in Ohio is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead the development of plastic injection molded parts from concept through launch. You will work with OEMs to ensure manufacturability, quality and cost targets while applying GD&T, DFMEA and DVP&R throughout the program.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering and at least five years in automotive plastics, with strong CAD skills (NX/CATIA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years in developing automotive plastic injection molded parts.
• Fascia design experience is a plus.
• Strong CAD skills (NX, CATIA) and knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, DVP&R.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of plastic injection molded parts from concept through launch.
• Consult with OEMs to meet customer specs, manufacturability, and quality objectives.
• Direct projects from design through production start-up, including prototype builds and testing.
• Prepare technical presentations and visit customers (virtually or in person) to address issues and reviews.
• Track new materials and technologies and support gate review process.
