Job summary

Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) is seeking a Product Development Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and qualify new power connectors for Datacenter applications in Harrisburg, PA and San Jose, CA.

You will create concepts from customer requests, advance CAD solutions, and collaborate with a global US/Asia team to support the product roadmap defined by Business Development, Product Management and Department Management. Chinese language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 2+ years experience with power connectors.
• Experience taking concepts to functional, cost-effective solutions.
• Knowledge of rapid prototyping and connector manufacturing methods.
• Familiarity with thermal dissipation or cooling methods is a plus.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2+ years experience in connectors.
• Experience taking projects from a hand drawn or verbal concept, to a functional and cost-effective solution.
• Experience with rapid prototyping as well as modern power connector manufacturing methods (stamping, plating, machining, high-mix semi-auto assembly quality improvement processes).
• Working knowledge of thermal dissipation, advanced cooling methods and/or current density FEA analysis is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to communicate in Chinese is a plus.
