Job summary

1000 Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a skilled engineer to collaborate on Design-for-Test and improve product quality in Boise, Idaho. Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, along with in-depth knowledge of DRAM architecture and experience in circuit-level simulation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (accepted).
  • In-depth knowledge of DRAM architecture and functionality.
  • Experience with circuit-level simulation and debug.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Perl, Unix, Batch, or Python).
  • Hands-on experience operating a tester and using lab equipment.
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources—test results, production metrics, customer feedback.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Leads, Design, and Test Engineering to cultivate Design‑for‑Test (DFT) and Micron Component & Module Test flow philosophy, working with Yield, Quality and Product Engineering to root‑cause and solve technical problems and improve product quality.
  • Validate device performance to drive guidance and define and debug test patterns and product issues while supporting product characterization.
  • Interpret general device functionality specific to semiconductor memory products, including schematics and signal integrity.
  • Coordinate with Test Manufacturing, Product Engineering and Design Engineering to provide test guidance that improves product quality and yield, outlining plans and priorities.
  • Propose new DFT architectures to enhance future quality, yield and test‑time improvements.
  • Debug and identify root causes for failures using data, electrical and physical analysis techniques.
  • Modify existing testing strategies to improve quality and enhance yield, and facilitate test‑time improvements through flow and pattern optimization.
  • Lead the team in resolving a wide array of technical challenges that arise.
