Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

The Judge Group is in search of a Product Development Chemist to be a key player on a growing and emerging business division of a Building Materials Manufacturer. The person hired into this role will have the opportunity to grow and transition into a role as a member of the leadership team within the facility. Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of new adhesive, sealant, coating, and foam products by creating development strategies, setting experimental plans, and overseeing their execution in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Translate customer requirements and market insights into actionable product specifications and features.
• Develop a thorough understanding of products and applications to guide the team and support project work.
• Regularly review projects to address challenges and meet deadlines while maintaining project quality.
• Foster continuous improvement and champion the use of Lean tools for consistent quality.
• Provide engineering support and direction to Manufacturing on production issues and equipment layout.
• Serve as a technical resource for external code and approval authorities.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Polymer, or Material Science (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
• Successful track record of cross-functional collaboration in product development.
• Product design experience, preferably related to construction applications (knowledge of polyurethane adhesive or coating is helpful).
