Job description

As a Development Chemist, you will work in the laboratory as a member of the automotive refinish product development team in CIC (Allison Park, PA). You will lead independent projects or portions of larger projects to develop and commercialize new clearcoat products. You will leverage resources and provide innovative technical solutions to challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure delivery of projects and achievement of milestones through planning
  • Collaborate with global development labs, research, marketing, and production teams, as well as customers, to advance projects
  • Apply Sigma logic methodology for design of experiments and data analysis
  • Support customer and production-related issues
  • Share knowledge within the team and with collaborators
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment
Qualifications
  • Degrees in Chemistry or related fields
  • ***Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of formulation experience, Master's degree with 5+ years of formulation experience***
