Job summary

Veronica Beard in New York City is seeking a driven Product Development Assistant Manager to support the Ready-to-Wear Soft Wovens collection. You will report to the Product Development Manager and collaborate with the design, development, and sourcing teams to drive the development process from tech pack handoff through production.

You will independently manage assigned factories, track WIP and BOMs, and coordinate with overseas partners to meet seasonal deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years within fashion/apparel product development.
• Experience with overseas factories and production handoffs.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Support Product Development Manager from tech pack handoff to production handoff.
• Manage development for assigned factories and track progress.
• Oversee ~50% of seasonal soft wovens across overseas factories.
• Own BOMs and ensure accuracy of components, colors, and updates.
• Coordinate tech pack handoffs and meet seasonal deadlines.
• Maintain WIP data for factories, including costing and milestones.
• Lead daily overseas factory communications and issue resolution.
• Prepare proto fittings and maintain proto fit list.
• Collaborate with Raw Materials, Fabric, and Trim teams to align timelines.
• Track proto costing and validate factory cost sheets.
• Ensure seamless handoff to Production after each season.
• Monitor team progress and flag risks to keep deadlines.
