Job summary

Veronica Beard is seeking a highly organized Product Development Assistant to support the development of women's soft woven apparel from concept to production handoff. This entry-level role emphasizes learning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and clear communication across time zones.

You will manage samples, BOMs, and PLM data, coordinate with overseas vendors, and help maintain a well-organized sample room.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Apparel Production, Merchandising, Textiles, or a closely related field preferred.
• Internship experience or 1–2 years in apparel development, production, sourcing, technical design, or related field preferred.
• Foundational understanding of apparel development, garment construction, fabric, trims, and lifecycle; women's apparel experience a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-time-zone collaboration.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate product data, trackers, samples, and documentation.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with PLM systems.
• Experience with VibeIQ and/or Exenta is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day product development process for women's soft woven apparel, keeping samples, data, and deliverables organized and on schedule.
• Set up seasonal WIP templates and update from overseas vendors, flagging discrepancies or delays.
• Communicate clearly with overseas vendors regarding sample status and actions.
• Create and maintain product information in PLM and related systems (style details, colorways, BOMs).
• Build and update BOMs for repeat and expanded bodies under team direction.
• Track development samples and shipments; log, organize, and distribute materials.
