Job summary

BCI Brands in New York is seeking a Product Development Assistant to support our fast-paced apparel design team. You will help manage fabric and print development, update PLM records, and track development timelines across multiple seasons.

Ideal candidates have PLM experience (Centric preferred), strong Excel and Photoshop skills, and a fashion-focused degree. You are highly organized, data-driven, and a team player with excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience with PLM software, Centric preferred.
  • Interest in fashion or degree in fashion with focus on product development.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a flexible attitude.
  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Centric PLM and/or Exenta is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Development and Design teams and maintain records across multiple seasons.
  • Enter and update strike-off and lab dip requests in PLM systems.
  • Create and manage Excel fabric charts for seasonal development of divisions fabrications.
  • Organize and track incoming and outgoing development materials.
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and development documents.
  • Provide additional administrative and project support to leadership and the broader team.

The Role:

Our Product Development Team is looking for an organized and technology savvy Product Development Assistant to work within a fast-paced apparel design department. The Product Development Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the team by helping manage fabric and print development, tracking timelines, maintaining systems, and assisting with follow-up throughout the development process. This is a great opportunity to learn and contribute to the Product Development Team, while doing important work to keep everything organized.

The salary range for this full-time role is between $20.00-$25.00/hour.

Requirements
  • Previous background with PLM software, especially Centric, highly preferred!
  • Must have interest in fashion or degree in fashion with focus on product development
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Suite proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail with skills to accurately enter and maintain data.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, problem solver with a flexible attitude
  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Centric PLM and/or Exenta system a plus
