Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is seeking a Product Development Analyst to lead cross-functional projects that develop applications and POS materials for new product launches and compliance updates across distribution channels. This role may be filled at Analyst or Sr.

Analyst level depending on experience. You will collaborate with Compliance, Underwriting, Legal, Sales, Claims, Actuary and other teams, manage timelines, and ensure state and federal requirements are met while delivering training

Job description

Bring your insurance knowledge, project coordination skills, and attention to detail to Mutual of Omaha’s Product Development team. As a Product Development Analyst, you’ll lead cross-functional projects to develop and maintain applications and point-of-sale materials that support new product launches and compliance updates across multiple distribution channels.

This role may be filled at the Analyst or Sr. Analyst level, depending on experience.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

• Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
  • Product Development Analyst: $68,000 - $87,500, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Sr. Product Development Analyst: $75,500 - $97,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
• 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead cross-functional project teams with partners in Compliance, Underwriting, Legal, Sales, Claims, Actuary and other areas to develop applications and product forms that meet business, federal, and state requirements.
• Create, update, and maintain applications, point-of-sale forms, application databases, and state requirement grids across internal and external electronic platforms.
• Coordinate product and compliance updates with internal teams, external vendors, producers, and third-party sites, including testing and troubleshooting electronic sales tools and applications.
• Develop and facilitate product training and provide technical product support to internal and external customers.
• Track project milestones, communicate status, and help drive timely decisions and consensus to keep projects moving forward.
• Research product initiatives, analyze data, and take on other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Strong computer and spreadsheet skills, with an understanding of electronic applications and digital sales tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects, build consensus, and keep projects moving toward established milestones and deadlines.
• You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
• Able to work at our office located in Omaha, NE, in a hybrid environment.

PREFERRED:

• Insurance industry experience, including familiarity with insurance products, distribution channels, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with electronic applications, point-of-sale systems, or insurance product development.
• Special Risk experience is a plus.
