Job summary

Hook is seeking a Product Designer to lead the Studio experience across mobile and web, shaping end-to-end creation workflows and enabling both casual creators and power users. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver cohesive experiences and extend design systems across surfaces.

This role emphasizes balancing simplicity with depth, applying brand consistently, and leveraging AI tools to explore and iterate designs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in product design, with experience in complex workflows or creative tools
• Strong product thinking to identify problems and drive end-to-end solutions
• Experience designing complex workflows or tools (editors, marketplaces, multi-step flows)
• Strong interaction design and attention to detail in high-frequency user flows
• Experience designing across mobile and web and adapting across platforms
• Prototyping quickly to communicate ideas and validate concepts
• Strong systems thinking for consistency and cohesion across the product
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering in fast-paced environments
• Ability to apply and extend brand within product experiences
• Comfort using AI tools to support exploration and design workflows

Responsibilities

• Own and drive design for the Creator / Studio Platform across mobile and web
• Design end-to-end creation workflows from first-use to advanced editing/publishing
• Balance simplicity and creative power for both casual and power users
• Translate product goals and user insights into high-quality design solutions
• Prototype quickly, explore directions, and iterate based on feedback/data
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape solutions and ensure execution
• Go deep on interaction design and craft to elevate the overall experience
• Ensure consistency and cohesion across surfaces and design system
• Support adjacent areas including cross-platform journeys and partner-facing tools
