Whalar Group is seeking a Product Designer to own a set of existing product surfaces end to end, understanding usage, refining them, and shipping improvements at a steady cadence with product and engineering. You’ll join a small design team where collaboration with product partners shapes direction and rapid user testing informs decisions.

You’ll help design across mobile and desktop, build interactive prototypes with engineers, and contribute to a shared design system while maintaining a strong

Qualifications

• Portfolio shows range across industries or products and adaptability.
• Experience in startup environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong craft in components, variants, responsive layouts, prototyping.
• Ability to form opinions from incomplete information and test with users.
• Clear communicator who works across US/European time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own the experience of established product lines from diagnosis to shipping.
• Interpret briefs and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
• Design across mobile and desktop in real-world states with intent.
• Build interactive prototypes for engineers to feel, not just read.
• Contribute to and reuse a shared design system with patterns.
• Run quick user sessions and integrate learnings.
