Job summary

Firefly is hiring a Product Designer in New York City. This in-office role focuses on building the Ember platform across mobile and web, shaping product architecture, and establishing new interface patterns for real-time safety workflows.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–7+ years in Product Design, Interaction Design, UX, or equivalent roles.
Experience designing complex workflow software, real-time collaboration tools, or connected hardware is a plus.
Strong portfolio showing software design, system architecture, and visual craft.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design of Ember platform across mobile and web.
Design for safer communities and multi-touchpoint journeys across devices.
Collaborate with founders, hardware teams, ML engineers, and software developers.
Plan and run user research with installers, operators, and end users.
Develop lightweight, iterative design processes and systems for rapid delivery.
