Firefly in New York City is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own the Ember platform, shaping end-to-end design across mobile and web and driving a cohesive design language. You will champion safety‑critical workflows and multi-user coordination with a focus on craft and user empathy.

You will work with founders, hardware teams, ML engineers, and software developers to ship with speed, while maintaining accessibility and a consumer-grade feel in an enterprise context.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product design or UX roles.
• Experience with complex workflow software is preferred.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating software design and system architecture.
• Proficiency in design systems and visual execution.
• Experience with journey maps or service blueprints is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of the Ember platform: Concept, explore, design and launch new features; expand design language and workflows.
• Design for safer communities and enable safer decision-making for safety teams.
• Design for multi-touchpoint user journeys across devices and services.
• Drive design excellence with strong typography, layout and information hierarchy.
• Ship iteratively, prioritizing impact with rapid iterations and testing.
