The Role

The Lending & Commerce design team focuses on creating financial products that provide credit and flexible payment options for customers and support merchant growth.

In this role, you'll work on two main areas:

• Regulations and compliance

You will bring clarity and craftsmanship to production-heavy design work, ensuring experiences are compliant, clear, and reliable, and documentation is current. You will also enable high-value partnerships essential for business growth, staying updated with regulatory changes to maintain compliance and operational continuity.

This is a remote role, preferably during West Coast hours to align with our team in Australia.

You Will

• Create high-quality, high-volume design work, delivering clean, precise UI for Cash App's lending and Afterpay products.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, user-friendly experiences.
• Adapt quickly to changing legal and regulatory landscapes to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, compliance, sales, and legal to implement designs within constraints.
• Support merchant partnerships by scaling solutions across new use cases, surfaces, and geographies.

You Have

• 5+ years of experience designing digital products with a focus on execution and production.
• A portfolio demonstrating attention to craft, consistency, and systems thinking, even in highly prescriptive environments.
• A pragmatic approach—focused on making ideas real and solving edge cases.
• Experience scaling design solutions for various partners.
• Strong visual design skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience working in regulated industries with compliance and legal teams.
• Experience working with partnerships, tailoring designs for diverse partners.
• Familiarity with financial services, lending products, or merchant platforms.

Our compensation varies by location, based on a market approach. U.S. salary ranges are categorized into zones:

• Zone A: $171,800 — $257,600 USD
• Zone B: $163,200 — $244,800 USD
• Zone C: $154,600 — $232,000 USD
• Zone D: $146,000 — $219,000 USD
