The PSG organization has built-in data governance and discovery for the AI Data Cloud, including powerful compliance, security, privacy, discovery, and collaboration capabilities that help data governors, stewards, CISOs/security admins, and data teams protect and unlock the value of sensitive data, apps, and models.

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN PSG AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  1. Drive projects from idea formulation to design and implementation.

  2. Design and develop solutions for secure data sharing and access delegation in a globally distributed service.

  3. Solve real business needs at large scale by applying your software engineering and analytical problem-solving skills.

  4. Make trade-offs to design the best system for Snowflake customers' needs.

  5. Collaborate with engineers across teams to help deliver cross-functional initiatives.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Between 1-6 years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large-scale cloud services.

  • Fluency in Java is required.

  • Experience with database fundamentals, including working with SQL.

  • Systems programming skills, including multi-threading, concurrency, etc.

  • Some experience in database security or building data governance systems is a bonus.

  • BSc in Computer Science or a related field, or MSc.

The expected compensation range for this role is:

  • The estimated base salary range is $157,000 - $230,000.
  • This role is eligible for Snowflake's bonus and equity plans.

The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k); flexible spending and health savings accounts; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other benefits.
