Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Product Designer II in Seattle, WA to shape how Pinners receive and interact with notifications across push, email, and in-app surfaces.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to design end-to-end experiences that balance user needs with business goals, using an AI-enabled workflow to accelerate exploration while maintaining quality and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of product design experience in growth, engagement, or consumer-facing mobile products.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end flows for mobile and web.
• Experience shipping and iterating on consumer experiences with PMs and engineers.
• Translate business goals into testable hypotheses and experiments.
• Data-informed approach using research, experimentation, and product metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship notification experiences across push, email, and in-app on iOS, Android, desktop, and web.
• Build cohesive notification journeys covering permissions, delivery, entry points, preferences, and settings.
• Turn ambiguous product challenges into clear design requirements, user flows, and interaction patterns.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to find opportunities, design experiments, and improve engagement outcomes.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to refine visual hierarchy, messaging, micro-interactions, and timing.
• Create high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and detailed specifications that extend the Pinterest design system.
• Communicate design decisions, tradeoffs, and recommendations to advocate for user-centeredsolutions aligned to product and business goals.
• Use AI-enabled workflows to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and synthesis while validating quality, accessibility, and Pinner impact.
• Share progress early, address blockers proactively, and help maintain a respectful, collaborative environment.
