Desquared, in partnership with HumanI, is seeking a Product Designer in Athens to craft mobile and web interfaces for German-speaking stakeholders. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, translating business and user needs into intuitive, scalable design solutions across platforms.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers and stakeholders, contribute to design systems, and ensure high-quality execution while communicating in both German and English.

HumanI is partnering with Desquared, an award-winning digital product and experience design agency, in the search for a Product Designer with excellent German language skills to join its growing team in Athens.

Desquared is known for building impactful digital products and experiences for leading organizations including TelekomGR, National Bank of Greece, Alpha Bank, Public, Heron and Kritikos, delivering solutions that affect millions of users every month.

This opportunity is ideal for a Product Designer passionate about crafting intuitive, user-centered digital experiences within complex and fast-paced environments and who is comfortable working with German-speaking stakeholders and international teams.

The role focuses on transforming business and user needs into seamless mobile and web experiences, combining strong UI execution with strategic product thinking. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers and product professionals working on large-scale digital platforms, with a particular focus on projects within the telecommunications sector.

As part of the telecoms team, you will collaborate closely with relevant German-speaking stakeholders, making excellent written and verbal communication in German an important part of the role.

Mission

As a Product Designer at Desquared, you will play a key role in shaping innovative digital products by leading end-to-end design processes that translate business objectives and user needs into compelling and functional experiences.

Working closely with product managers, engineers and stakeholders, you will contribute from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality design execution and consistency across products and platforms.

A significant part of the role will involve communicating and collaborating with German-speaking stakeholders, understanding their requirements, presenting design concepts, facilitating discussions and ensuring that design decisions are clearly communicated throughout the product lifecycle.

You will be responsible for creating intuitive interfaces for mobile and web applications, conducting user research and usability testing, developing scalable design systems and reusable components, and continuously improving experiences based on user insights and data.

The role also requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will work cross-functionally to align product vision, user needs and technical feasibility while contributing to a culture of innovation and design excellence.

You will be responsible for:

• Crafting clear, engaging and highly functional user interfaces for mobile apps and web applications.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers and stakeholders from project inception to launch, ensuring design consistency and quality.
• Working directly with German-speaking stakeholders, understanding business requirements and translating them into effective product and design solutions.

Must Have

• Proven experience in product design, more focused on mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Strong expertise in Figma, including a solid understanding of design tokens and variables.
• Familiarity with usability testing, user research methodologies and accessibility standards.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric digital product design projects.
• Very good command of German, both written and spoken, at a professional level. You should be comfortable participating in meetings, discussing requirements, presenting design work and communicating with German-speaking stakeholders.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Experience with web and mobile software development processes.
• Previous experience working with German-speaking or international stakeholders.
• Background working in high-impact sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, retail, or SaaS.
• Previous experience in startup or scale-up environments, contributing to fast-paced and innovative projects.
• Experience working with large-scale digital products or design systems.
