Job summary

SteerBridge is seeking a Product Designer to join the Experience Design team, supporting MDC and the AICES system. You will create high‑fidelity UI prototypes in Figma, extend our design system, and translate research into production‑ready experiences for claims review.

You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and SMEs, growing ownership of product workflows over time. You will work on claims intake, evidence review, medical evaluation, and admin workflows, ensuring interfaces clearly

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to meet background investigation and access requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong UI craft, design system work, and ability to organize complex information.
• Ability to present a user flow and discuss decisions, constraints, and tradeoffs.
• Strong proficiency in Figma including components, variants, auto layout, and prototyping.
• Understanding of design systems and how components, tokens, and patterns are used.
• WCAG/Section 508 accessibility in UI design understood.
• Experience using Jira or similar Agile tools to manage work.
• Strong communication skills and openness to direction and critique.

Responsibilities

• Create high‑fidelity, interactive prototypes in Figma translating wireframes and research into polished interfaces.
• Design workflows for claims intake, evidence review, medical evaluation, and admin oversight.
• Collaborate with UX researchers and SMEs to translate validated workflows into product designs.
• Support interaction design and information architecture decisions for complex, evidence‑rich apps.
• Maintain and extend the team design system using components, tokens, and patterns.
• Document handoff specifications and perform design QA to ensure alignment with specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback from stakeholders.
