Job summary

Wave is seeking a Product Designer to play a crucial role in the product development lifecycle. You will collaborate with fellow product designers, researchers, content strategists, product managers, engineers, and customer support to craft user-centered experiences that help micro business owners thrive by simplifying financial management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional product design experience for mobile and web apps.
• Strong knowledge of experience and visual design fundamentals.
• Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, surveys.
• Proficient with Figma and prototyping.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Autonomous and collaborative, able to balance design with business goals.
• Fintech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and iterate design solutions.
• Help develop and evolve Wave’s product strategy.
• Contribute to design systems libraries.
• Prioritize discovery and delivery backlogs with PM and Engineer Lead.
• Plan and execute user research, including interviews and usability tests.
• Create mockups and prototypes following Design Systems; validate with users.
• Lead design reviews with stakeholders and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Share work openly to gather feedback and improve your solution.
