Job summary

Choice Hotels is seeking a Product Designer for the Digital Commerce team in Scottsdale, AZ (hybrid), four days onsite. This individual contributor role focuses on guest-facing web and mobile experiences and internal tools for Customer Care.

Design journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity interfaces in Figma, using Choice’s design system and accessibility standards. Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Analysts, and other designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of UX/product design experience on web/mobile/SaaS products.
• Proficiency with Figma and FigJam; strong prototyping and handoff skills.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) with strong judgment.
• Excellent communication; able to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity experiences for guest-facing web and mobile products and internal tools for Customer Care.
• Partner with Customer Care to translate insights into clearer internal tooling.
• Support integration of AI-powered chat, guided response tools, and knowledge-support experiences.
• Apply human-centered design to simplify complex workflows balancing guest needs, business goals, and feasibility.
• Plan and conduct user research and convert findings into actionable design recommendations.
• Create and hand off work in Figma using design systems and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Analysts, and other designers; explain design decisions to stakeholders.
• Contribute to UX audits, heuristic evaluations, accessibility reviews, and AB testing.
