Job summary

Goodreads, an Amazon company, is seeking a Product Designer to own and mature our AI-ready design system across web and mobile. You will work with engineers, researchers, PMs, content creators, and partners to craft reader experiences and enable authors, publishers, and advertisers to connect with readers.

You will advance design velocity and consistency by evolving design systems, tooling, and processes, while aligning with the Discovery, Reading, Tracking, and Community spaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience.
• Online portfolio or samples demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design across desktop and mobile.
• Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.
• Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
• Experience in visual design as shown by mockups and style guides.
• Experience collaborating with developers for implementation of designs.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and enablement of our design system to deliver core reader experiences across web and mobile apps; drive adoption, evaluate gaps, optimize processes, utilize AI and scale to meet product needs.
• Manage the design libraries and tooling while educating the team on best practices and providing resources.
• Create customer-centered designs that incorporate feedback, user research, data, market trends and constraints.
• Create flows, wireframes, mockups, rapid prototypes to conceptualize, prove out, and deliver on great product experiences.
• Partner with design, product, and engineering to define systems and AI enablement of design work.
• Partner with User Research and conduct evaluative research to understand customers and validate design choices.
• Advocate for design by sharing work and presenting cross-functionally, articulating design rationale.
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers to raise quality.
